Mid-Atlantic Regional Coaches Clinic and Expo at Sands Event Center Bethlehem to be held February 28 – March 2

Bethlehem, Pa. - Goal in One (G.I.O.), is supporting youth soccer by hosting a regional clinic and expo at the Sands® Bethlehem Event Center to educate youth coaches, referees, players and fans.

“We recognize that the NSCAA Annual Convention is not accessible or affordable for all coaches and that a regional soccer event benefits youth, high school coaches and referees who are eager to learn from highly experienced professionals,” said Dean Koski, President, Goal in One Sports and the head men’s soccer coach at Lehigh University.

Speakers will include coaches who have trained youth players at the club, high school, regional, ODP, college, professional, Olympic and national team levels. More than 20 clinicians, including American Soccer legend Walter Bahr and MLS EVP of Competition, Nelson Rodriguez will be featured guests.

In addition, sports psychology and soccer specific strength, speed and agility areas will further educate coaches as to the mental and physical needs of their players, as well as in the area of leadership development.

Koski added, “We believe that referees are an underserved community. Our referee clinicians are committed to the development of referees throughout the country at all levels of play. Their collective experiences will afford all referees and coaches valuable information and insight to the game.”

There will be 15 exhibitors present including our major sponsor Kwik Goal along with Soccer Magic, Red Card Cancer, Angelo’s Soccer Corner, Youth Soccer 101, Advocare, Reaching our Goal and Bishop Photo to name a few.

Goal in One Sports was founded with the purpose of creating educational opportunities for youth coaches, referees and players.  G.I.O. also consults youth soccer clubs and organizations and provides speakers for banquets, functions and board meetings.

The Goal in One Youth Soccer Coaches Clinic and Expo will begin on Thursday night, February 28th with registration open from 4 -9 p.m.

There will be a welcome Reception, sponsored by Kwik Goal from on February 28 from  5 - 7 p.m. in the Vision Lounge of the Sands Event Center.

On Friday, March 1st and Saturday, March 2nd, exhibits will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with field and classroom sessions being taught by professional clinicians throughout the day.
