Silent auction to be held to benefit Lehigh Valley Visitor Education Fund.

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (October 9, 2015) – Discover Lehigh Valley celebrates 31 years at its annual meeting on Thursday, October 29 at Lehigh University’s Zoellner Arts Center.

The event highlights Discover Lehigh Valley’s partners, as well as the state of tourism in Lehigh Valley. A keynote presentation will be delivered my Meridith Elliot Powell. She is sure to help business owners create ownership at every level within their organization with her energetic “Just Own It” presentation.

Event attendees will have the chance to bid in the Print of the Week silent auction. Throughout the 2014 - 2015 fiscal year, local photographers were commissioned to capture the essence of what makes Lehigh Valley such a great place to live, work, and play. They found sights, attractions, venues, and so much more.

All 51 of these prints that were previously offered for purchase have been professionally framed and are available for auction. Proceeds will benefit the Lehigh Valley Visitor Education Fund which will be used for scholarships. Bids may also be placed online through October 29 at 6 p.m.

Discover Lehigh Valley will also announce the winners of the annual Partnership, Tourism, and Zenith Awards. The evening’s event features a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, networking opportunities, and plated dinner.
