Lift Your Spirits video series and Discover Lehigh Valley sales kit recognized for driving awareness and tourism to the region.

Lehigh Valley, Pa., March 19, 2018  – Discover Lehigh Valley®, the destination marketing organization dedicated to promoting tourism in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh and Northampton counties, also known as the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton area, was recognized for its Lift Your Spirits video advertising campaign, and graphically designed sales kit at the 2018 Lehigh Valley ADDY® Awards. Discover Lehigh Valley took home the Judges Choice award and a Gold ADDY in cinematography for its Eight Oaks video in the Lift Your Spirits video series, and two Silver ADDYs for its Lift Your Spirits internet commercial campaign and sales kit.

In partnership with local artist and filmmaker John Sterling Ruth, Discover Lehigh Valley developed its award-winning video series showcasing the local attractions and culture of Lehigh Valley. “Bold, uplifting, and homegrown, the Lift Your Spirits video campaign beautifully captures the essence of many of the great places to visit in the region, including the Banana Factory, Crayola Experience, Eight Oaks Farm Distillery, and Martin Guitar — to name a few — all while calling upon visitors to craft their own memories in Lehigh Valley,” said Alicia Quinn, strategic brand manager for Discover Lehigh Valley. “John Sterling Ruth took our vision and truly captured the beauty, authenticity, and allure of Lehigh Valley, and we are honored to receive these ADDY recognitions as it celebrates what draws visitors to our region each and every day.”

The Lehigh Valley ADDY Awards were scored by an independent, three-person panel, and recognizes the best in advertising from a collection of categories including digital media, print media, broadcast, and integrated communications. Hosted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), local organizations including the AAF of Greater Lehigh Valley is the first of three tiers toward the national competition.

The Lift Your Spirits video series, which integrated traditional and digital media tactics to promote tourism in Lehigh and Northampton counties has garnered 10,000 video views on YouTube and resulted in 45,000 page views to embedded videos on DiscoverLehighValley.com in just three months.

The visually stunning sales kit is shared with current and prospective partners highlighting the available tools and resources that Discover Lehigh Valley offers online for local companies to utilize in promoting their own products or services and connect with visitors of the region and current residents. Spurred from the redesign of DiscoverLehighValley.com, the kit showcases the website’s new look and navigation features that help advertisers make informed decisions on website promotions, as well as provides Discover Lehigh Valley’s marketing tactics, goals, and target audiences, with key information about the benefit of working together to achieve the greater goal of driving tourism in the area.

“Whether you take in the thriving arts and music scene, explore family fun attractions, enjoy incredible restaurants, wineries, breweries, and distilleries, cheer on your favorite team at live sporting events, travel back in time at historic sites, or visit one of our top-tier universities, there are just so many ways to lift your spirits in Lehigh Valley,” Quinn added. “We hope our video series and sales kit just further hone in on the message of all the great things Lehigh Valley has to offer and continue to result in new visitors and Discover Lehigh Valley partners.”
