George: Hello and welcome to this episode of Live Like a Local. We are here at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, at Christmas City Village. We will show you how to Live Like a Local with shopping during the holiday season. Let’s get to it.
George: Join the more than 100,000 people who come to downtown Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, during the holiday season by visiting Christmas City Village. The authentic German open air Christmas market is located in the heart of Bethlehem. Visit 35 wooden huts dressed for the holidays and filled with Christmas gift ideas. Enjoy bratwurst with sauerkraut and warm up with a hot beverage including the popular hot mulled wine.
Hi, we are here with Tom from BOBBANONNA. Tom, can you tell me what you like about having your hut here at Christmas City Village?
Tom: Well, we love it here. You really get into the Christmas and holiday spirit here, especially when there are some snowflakes coming down. You can’t get any better than that. The people are so friendly. They love being in downtown Bethlehem, the Christmas City. It is just a wonderful experience for everyone. This is a traditional holiday cookie, the Kiffle. The people just love it. They actually just search us out now, but all the vendors here have wonderful stuff. They’re handmade and it’s just a really cool thing.
George: Thank you very much and now we are going to try some Kiffles. That’s good Kiffle!
George: Be sure to walk all of downtown Bethlehem’s Main Street to not only visit its one of a kind shops but also to see more huts at Church and Main. Thank you for coming with us to Christmas City Village in downtown Bethlehem, P.A. We hope to see you down here during the holiday season. I am off to eat some Kiffles!
