Hello and welcome to this colorful edition of Lehigh Valley Visions. We’re in Easton, Pennsylvania at the Crayola Experience, which is the only place in the world where you can make your own crayon with your name on it, mold some wax to bring home, visit the Crayola store, and have your art come to life on digital screens. There is a lot to cover on these four floors, so let’s get to it.

Completely renovated from top to bottom in 2013, the Crayola Experience has over 20 all-new, hands-on attractions for a day of family fun. It’s the only place in the world where the magic of Crayola comes to life.

The first floor of the Crayola Experience includes the Crayola store and Cafe Crayola. The Crayola store has nearly anything you can imagine that Crayola makes as well as a huge selection of one-of-a-kind souvenirs. Cafe Crayola is a great place to recharge before or after you head to all the great attractions. While here, you can also see the world’s largest crayon on display, Big Blue. Probably our favorite attraction is probably Wrap It Up. At Wrap It Up, you can personalize and print your own crayon label, wrap it around your favorite color crayon, and create your own unique Crayola crayon to take home with you. Everybody is going to be jealous.

The crayon factory shows you how crayons are made by Crayola Experience’s resident crayonologist in a live theater show. Learn why Crayola crayons are so special and as well discover some little-known facts about the world’s most iconic, colorful tool.

Turn off the lights at Doodle in the Dark. In this interactive dark room, you can make bright marks on backlit doodle boards; choose from several games to play on the interactive floor that responds to your emotions.

If your kid has a lot of energy, which they probably do, you want to bring them to the Color Playground, where they can shimmy up a Crayola crayon, zigzag down the Pipsqueak Marker, and run across the Paint Bridge. What’s fun about this is that adults can join in, too.

If you’ve ever played with Crayola crayon, you know that special smell that they have. Here at Metldown, you can play with melted wax in a way you never have before with a variety of colors and putting them on paper in your own art design.

We hope you’ve enjoyed your time with us in Easton, Pennsylvania, at the Crayola Experience. There is a lot more to see and do here. We hope you and your family can come out and have a lot of fun. We’ll see you next time.
