Lehigh Valley Master Bowling Tournament Celebrates 57th Year

Teams throughout the region to compete at the Haja Rose Bowl in Allentown.
LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. (October 22, 2015) – The 57th Annual Lehigh Valley Master Bowling Tournament returns on October 31 with events occurring at the Haja Rose Bowl (801 N. 15th St., Allentown, PA 18102).

The event begins with two qualifying squads at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Qualifiers will then advance to the matchplay portion of the event to be played on Sunday, November 1 at 8:30 a.m. Winner’s and loser’s brackets will be played until the field is narrowed down to a group of up to twelve finalists.

The final day of competition will take place on Sunday, November 8 beginning at 8:30 a.m., concluding with final rounds that will be broadcast on Service Electric Cable TV.

“Local Lehigh Valley resident Patrick Polash has been partnering with Discover Lehigh Valley Sports for a long time now,” says Michael Kuzy, Director of Sports Marketing at Discover Lehigh Valley Sports. “His prestigious bowling events are an important economic generator, providing a thrust of tourism dollars into the Lehigh Valley community during the typically slower fall and early winter shoulder seasons. We’re lucky to have him.”

Now, in its 57th year, the Lehigh Valley Master Bowling Tournament brings bowlers from not only the greater Lehigh Valley, but also from York, Lancaster, Reading, Scranton/Wilkes Barre, Maryland, and New Jersey. The uniqueness of the event remains a draw for those bowlers looking for a higher level of competition. All scoring is done on a scratch basis and the skill level of the competitors is tested with a more challenging lane condition than most see in a regular weekly league.

Spectators are welcome to attend the event at no cost.
