Mission Statement

To promote and develop Lehigh Valley as a leisure and business travel destination.


Discover Lehigh Valley is the official destination marketing organization (DMO) for Lehigh and Northampton counties. We are a partnership organization supported by partnership dues, a local hotel tax, advertising, marketing and cooperative programs.

Discover Lehigh Valley is governed by a board of directors, which consists of 22 voting members and three ex-officio members with voting privileges. Candidates from Lehigh and Northampton counties are proposed to the board of directors by a nominating committee. The board of directors elects the officers of the organization.

Discover Lehigh Valley activities and promotional programs are initiated and directed by standing committees, the chairs of which are appointed from the board of directors by the president.

The Executive Committee, including Discover Lehigh Valley officers and standing committee chairs, is empowered to act on behalf of the board of directors. It also acts as a personnel committee and is responsible for employing the president.

The president is responsible for hiring personnel, managing Discover Lehigh Valley business and finances and allocating staff to accomplish the goals and objectives set by the board of directors.


Discover Lehigh Valley makes planning your meetinggroup tour, or sporting event easy with sales professionals that can help locate meeting space, check hotel availability and link you with suppliers to meet the demands of any event.
