World Renowned Budweiser Clydesdales to Appear at Valley Preferred Cycling Center for September 14th Wheels for Hope Charity Bike Ride

On September 14th, the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales will be making a special appearance at Valley Preferred Cycling Center during the Valley Preferred Wheels for Hope Charity Bike Ride benefiting Angel 34. The appearance is made possible by Valley Preferred Cycling Center’s partnership with Allentown Beverage, and both organizations could not be prouder to help such a great cause.

Valley Preferred Cycling Center is proud to partner with Allentown Beverage as the beer supplier for the facility. Allentown Beverage, a family-owned business since 1933, is an Anheuser-Busch InBev, Goose Island, Victory and Troegs beer wholesaler serving Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Monroe and Schuylkill counties in eastern Pennsylvania.

This year marks the second annual Valley Preferred Wheels for Hope Charity Bike Ride, which takes place at Valley Preferred Cycling Center on September 14th, 2013.  This charity ride, beginning and ending at Valley Preferred Cycling Center, benefits children battling cancer, and allows cyclists of all ages and abilities to ride to bring hope to the millions of children fighting cancer each day.

“We are thrilled to have the Budweiser Clydesdales at our facility,” said Executive Director and Olympic Gold Medalist, Marty Nothstein. “We have such a great relationship with both Valley Preferred and Allentown Beverage and for everyone to come together to support a special cause like Angel 34 is truly amazing.”

The opening ceremonies of the event will begin at 8:45 AM, followed by a children’s fun ride and walk on the 1.1 mile Rodale Park walking path from10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. At 12:45 PM a children’s festival will kick off inside the Valley Preferred Cycling Center featuring games, activities, food and live music.

One hundred percent of the funds raised and donated at the event will benefit local charity, Angel 34. Angel 34 was founded in 2003 by 13 year old Nicole Sheriff, who was battling cancer at the time, and knew firsthand how it can affect families. Nicole established the foundation to provide financial assistance, therapy programs camps, and even ICEE machines to children’s hospitals across the country because the cool drink helps offset some of the side effects of chemotherapy. Lehigh Valley Hospital was the first hospital to receive an ICEE machine.
