Valley Preferred Cycling Center Releases 2014 World Series of Bicycling Promotional Schedule

DSC_0652TREXLERTOWN, Pa.- Valley Preferred Cycling Center is proud to announce the release of it’s all new promotional schedule for the 2014 World Series of Bicycling Season. The 2014 season will bring Olympic competition to the track each Friday night, and the promotional schedule will provide family fun and entertainment to go along with it.

The season kicks off June 6th with the Coordinated Health Keirin Cup. The night will feature a First Drink on Us promotion where Valley Preferred Cycling Center will pay for fans’ first drink (must be 21 years old with a valid ID to participate, while supplies last). T-Town Thunder Sticks will be free to the first 500 fans through the gates. Thunder Sticks are inflatable cheer sticks which create a loud sound when banged together.

June 13th is the U.S. Sprint Gran Prix, and also kicks off our Dog Days of Summer Series, meaning fans can bring their dogs to the races. Dog tickets can be purchased at the gate for $1.00 with all dog ticket proceeds going to a selected animal charity. Dog ticket proceeds on June 13th will go to Almost Home Animal Rescue. New for the 2014 season, the Dog Days of Summer Series will feature $1.00 hotdogs on all three dates. The Dog Days of Summer Series will take place June 13th, July 18th, and August 8th. Lehigh Valley native The Utility Man, a one man entertainment show best known for his antics at minor league baseball stadiums nationwide, makes his return to T-Town on June 13th as well.

The First Niagara Fastest Man on Wheels featuring the Mike Walter Madison takes place June 20th, and with it comes Pennsylvania Dutch Heritage Night. There will be traditional Pennsylvania Dutch food, music, and fun all night. June 20th is also the first night of the Victory BrewGrass Fest Preview Series, featuring one of the bands who will be playing at the festivalSeptember 20th. The Victory BrewGrass Fest Preview Series will be held on June 20th, July 25th during the U.S. 10 Mile Championship, and August 22nd during the Air Products Developmental Cycling Program Championships.

June 27th and 28th features a two night racing event as part of the Adams Outdoor Festival of Speed, which includes the Red Robin Marty Nothstein Bicycle Racing League All-Star Finals. The 27th is Canadian night, celebrating our neighbors to the north with food, fun, and music.

Racing takes a break on the 4th of July holiday, and picks back up July 11th with Tandemonium featuring the Women’s Open. The 11th will also feature the second T-Town Thunder Stick giveaway of the season, free to the first 500 fans through the gates. Ladies night will take place in conjunction with the Women’s Open, featuring $2.00 Bud Lite ‘Ritas. The Utility Man will be making his second appearance of the season as well on this busy night of entertainment.

The second night of the Dog Days of Summer Series will be held on July 18th during the Bear Creek Keystone Cup. A special offer of $1.00 hotdogs will be available all night.

July 25th is Ride Your Bike Night. Fans are encouraged to ride their bike to Valley Preferred Cycling Center the night of the race to promote cycling as a fun, healthy activity, and an alternative to driving. Fans that ride to the race will receive half priced tickets, and be entered to win a chance shoot the official starting gun at that night’s race (must arrive and be registered by 7:00 PM to be eligible). A bike corral will be set up inside the gets for fans to chain their bikes to.

August 1st will feature a celebration of Caribbean night. Celebrate the culture of so many great riders that have come to Valley Preferred Cycling Center with food, fun, and music. There will be a Caribbean style pig roast in the plaza area.

During the Rodale Corporate Challenge Finals on August 15th, we will celebrate our nation with USA night featuring a special military tribute. This celebration of the USA will feature $2.00 domestic bottles, and entertainment from the Peter Johann Band.

The season wraps up August 29th with the Madison Cup presented by Deer Park Natural Spring Water. The finale of the 2014 season will be Fan Appreciation Night, allowing Valley Preferred Cycling Center to say ‘thank you’ to the fans that support the track year round with special giveaways and drink specials.
