Valley Preferred Cycling Center Gets Ready to Kick Off VeloFest

A Biannual Event that Brings in Thousands of Cycling Enthusiasts from Around the East Coast

Trexlertown, Pa. – Valley Preferred Cycling Center is preparing for one of its largest events of the year, as VeloFest is slated for Saturday May 4that the facility in Trexlertown. VeloFest began in 1976 as a small trade session between friends, and has bloomed into the largest cycling flea market in the nation.

Commercial vendors including corporate companies and store owners purchase plots to liquidate excess inventory while individual private vendors attend to simply sell off their old bikes, bike parts, gear, etc. VeloFest caters to the cyclist, but also offers items for everyone with an active lifestyle. With over 150 vendors in attendance, shoppers will find great deals on items such as apparel, shoes, jerseys, new and vintage bikes, bike parts, accessories, and more.

Valley Preferred Cycling Center has welcomed over 6,000 people biannually through the gates at VeloFest. Shoppers flock from all over the region and even camp out in the parking lots near the facility to be the first in line for the great deals. Valley Preferred Cycling Center holds both a Spring and Fall VeloFest each year.

Aside from shopping, Clover Hill Winery will be present sampling their wine that is made right here in the Lehigh Valley. The Bud Light Girls will also be on hand sampling their popular margarita products including the Lime-a-rita and the brand new Straw-ber-rita. VeloFest also will be serving delicious breakfast and lunch options from Rodale Catering as well as everyday unbeatable prices on beer and wine.

“VeloFest is one of my favorite events at Valley Preferred Cycling Center. You won’t find another event like it” noted Marty Nothstein, Executive Director of Valley Preferred Cycling Center and Olympic Gold Medalist. “Our vendors bring so much inventory that there is definitely something for everyone, at prices that can’t be beat.”

VeloFest will run 8:30AM-2:00PM on May 4th and is a rain or shine event.  Admission is $8.00 with free admission for kids 12 and under. Wristbands can be purchased on the day of the event or to avoid lines, shoppers are recommended to pre-purchase wristbands at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center offices beginning Monday, April 22nd at $10.00 per ticket.
