USA Shooting’s Morgan Craft Leads Olympians to Step Outdoors Festival at SteelStacks June 4
BETHLEHEM, PA—The U.S. National Shooting Team’s Morgan Craft headlines the 2016 Olympians that attendees can meet during the “Meet the Olympians” session June 4 at the Step Outdoors Lehigh Valley festival at SteelStacks presented by Lehigh Valley Zoo. Craft will be joined by two of this year’s Olympic track cyclists during the event, which will take place 10-11 a.m. at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.
A member of the U.S. Women’s Skeet Shooting Team, Craft has been part of the U.S. National Team for the past four years, travelling across the world while competing in World Cups from Peru and Guadalajara to Dubai and Spain. The 23-year old earned a 2016 Olympic Team nomination in September 2015 through USA Shooting’s Olympic Points System as a result of her World Championship gold medal performance in Italy, backed by silver and bronze medal performances in World Cup events prior to that.
Currently living in Hellertown, Pa., Craft is a native of Muncy Valley, Pa. She graduated from Lindenwood University in Missouri in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and is now awaiting acceptance in the physician’s assistant master’s degree program at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa.
During Step Outdoors, Craft will be at the National Wild Turkey Federation Walking Purchase Chapter’s Booth, where she will be signing clay birds for the kids. She’ll be joined at Step Outdoors by two of this year’s Olympic cyclists, both of whom will be leading a family cycling ride during Step Outdoors June 4, 9 a.m. The cyclists, presented by the Valley Preferred Cycling Center, will be announced next week; anyone interested in taking part in the ride can learn more and sign up at www.steelstacks.org/stepoutdoors. All three of the Olympians will make their way to Rio de Janeiro later this summer to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, set for Aug. 5-21.
