ST. PATRICK’S DAY TRADITIONS AT DONEGAL SQUARE
Join in the fun this St. Patrick’s Day with our annual ‘Best Legs in a Kilt’ contest, ‘Celtic Doggie Parade’, our ‘Day After’ Recovery Breakfast, and the traditional Irish music, fare, and drink available at the newly renovated McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar.
Bethlehem, PA —Celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day in Historic Bethlehem with Donegal Square and the newly renovated McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar, bringing you all the best from Ireland and the British Isles. Donegal Square is also celebrating its 30th Anniversary.
‘Best Legs in a Kilt’ contest – Saturday, March 14, at 11AM
Don your tartan for the ‘Best Legs in a Kilt’ contest, an annual bawdy Bethlehem tradition, on Saturday, March 14, at 11AM outside of Donegal Square. Show off your best kilted leg and woo the panel of judges to win the title of ‘Best Legs’, along with a new kilt from Donegal Square, the event sponsor.
All ages welcome; those interested can preregister in-store or online at donegalsquare.com or redstagpub.com. Registration is also available the day of the event between 10 and 10:30AM inside Donegal Square. First through third place awarded, along with honorable mentions. The first place winner receives title of ‘Best Legs’, and a 8-yard polyviscose kilt from Donegal Square, valued at $149.

‘Celtic Doggie Parade’ – Sunday, March 15, from 1 to 3PM
Dress your canine to compete in Donegal Square’s ‘Celtic Doggie Parade’ on Sunday, March 15, outside of Donegal Square, from 1 to 3PM. Doggie parade categories include biggest dog, smallest dog, anything Irish, leprechaun wanna-be, and dog/owner look-a-like. Pre Register your pooch in-store (dogs welcome inside), online at DonegalSquare.com, or register on the day of the event from 11:30AM to 12:30PM.
A $10 dog registration fee is requested. All proceeds to benefit The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, a private, nonprofit, no-kill shelter, dedicated to finding forever homes for homeless animals. www.spcanorthampton.org

McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar Events
Experience a taste of Ireland and the British Isles at the newly renovated McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar. McCarthy’s will have extended hours, and will be serving a special St. Patrick’s Day traditional Irish Fare specials menu starting March 14 through to March 19, with a full bar available until close each night. No reservations taken during special events; all will be seated first come, first served.
