SANDS CASINO RESORT BETHLEHEM AND ARTSQUEST PARTNER
ON TOURISM PROMOTION ON CBS SUPER SCREEN IN TIMES SQUARE
BETHLEHEM, PA—Millions of New York City residents and visitors to the Big Apple are learning about the arts, cultural and entertainment opportunities that await them in nearby Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley thanks to a new advertising campaign on the CBS Super Screen in New York City’s Times Square. Two 15-second spots, made possible through a partnership between Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem and the nonprofit arts organization ArtsQuest, began airing this past weekend on the screen, showcasing the attractions and experiences available to visitors at the SteelStacks arts and cultural campus and Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, both of which are located on the former Bethlehem Steel site in south Bethlehem.
The CBS Super Screen is a 26-foot by 20-foot digital screen located on 42nd Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues in Manhattan. The Sands Casino Resort and ArtsQuest spots will each air more than 1,300 times on the screen through early April, reaching an estimated 1.5 million people each day.
The opportunity to appear on the CBS Super Screen came about after Neutron Media, the Toronto-based firm that represents the screen, reached out to ArtsQuest after researching nonprofits and learning about the innovative programming and events now taking place on the former Bethlehem Steel site. Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem’s support of the project made it possible for the nonprofit to take part in the promotion, an undertaking that is ultimately designed to promote the entire region. The Sands’ 15-second spot was created by The Media & Marketing Group of Voorhees, N.J., while ArtsQuest’s spot was produced by Green Leaf Productions of Easton, a longtime partner of ArtsQuest.
“With its rich history, cultural attractions, festivals and arts and entertainment resources, Bethlehem continues to emerge as a prime travel destination for people from throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region,” said ArtsQuest Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advancement Kassie Hilgert. “The CBS Super Screen presents an excellent opportunity to reach out to millions of potential visitors, the majority of whom live two hours or less from our region. As a nonprofit, ArtsQuest has limited resources to undertake this kind of project on its own. We thank Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem for their support, and we are proud to partner with them on this amazing opportunity to promote tourism in Bethlehem and the Lehigh Valley.”
