ROB STONEBACK HOLIDAY SHOW, BEATLES TRIBUTE ‘STRAWBERRY FIELDS’, JON ANDERSON & MORE COMING TO MUSIKFEST CAFÉ
BETHLEHEM, PA – A swinging holiday show with the Rob Stoneback Big Band, Beatles tribute Strawberry Fields and former YES front man Jon Anderson are among the new performances announced for the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Tickets for the shows will go on sale Sept. 24, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and Sept. 27, 10 a.m., to the public. They’ll be available at www.artsquest.org and 610-332-3378
On Dec. 19, the Musikfest Café will welcome the Rob Stoneback Big Band, a 19-piece big band, to help celebrate the holiday season. Members of the band include alumni of the Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, Woody Herman and Buddy Rich big bands. On the stage the guys have played with Miles Davis and Sarah Vaughn and performed for such stars as Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis, Aretha Franklin, Olivia Newton-John and The Temptations.
Beatles fans rejoice! On Feb. 6, Strawberry Fields: The Ultimate Beatles Tribute returns to Bethlehem. Strawberry Fields will take you on a Magical Mystery Tour through the Beatles’ career in the 1960s ending with the “White Album.” They have been performing to audiences of all ages for more than a decade including an overflow crowd at Musikfest this past summer.
Jon Anderson, one of the most recognizable voices in progressive rock as the lead vocalist and creative force behind YES, will return to the Musikfest Café on April 3. The rock legend was the first national performer at the Musikfest Café, when he performed May 2, 2011. Anderson co-authored many of YES’ biggest hits, including “I’ve Seen All Good People,” “Roundabout,” “Owner of a Lonely Heart” and more.
