Holiday Spirit Hits the Lehigh Valley July 15-17

Lehigh Valley, PA – The hockey and holiday seasons may still be a few months away but the Lehigh Valley Phantoms have found a way to bring both to fans a little early.

Christmas in July teaser imageThe Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, will be hosting a Christmas in July Celebration from July 15-17 at PPL Center in anticipation of the upcoming 2015-2016 season. The home opener for the highly-anticipated second season of Phantoms hockey in the Lehigh Valley is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th.

But for those who just can’t wait that long, the team’s Christmas in July Celebration will offer fans the outlet they’re craving. As part of Christmas in July, the Phantoms will be offering tours of PPL Center from 11 AM to 2 PM daily, will host daily meet-and-greets with meLVin from 2:30 to 3:00 PM and will be unveiling fun, new summer merchandise. There will also be opportunities to win holiday puck prizes and special visits from Santa himself at 12 PM and 4 PM daily.

In conjunction with Christmas in July, the Phantoms’ Team Store will be open from 11 AM to 5 PM Wednesday, July 15 through Friday, July 17 with a FREE holiday puck for each purchase of $25 or more. Christmas in July will also feature an end-of-season sale as well as FREE arena parking with any purchase.

On the cusp of their 20th season of operation, the Phantoms recently completed their Inaugural Season as the Lehigh Valley Phantoms playing at the brand-new PPL Center. Established in 1996, the Phantoms spent their first 13 seasons at the Spectrum before re-locating to Glens Falls, New York in 2009 where the team spent the next five seasons as the Adirondack Phantoms. A new era of Phantoms hockey began in the fall of 2014 when the Lehigh Valley Phantoms began play at the state-of-the-art PPL Center. Through 19 incredibly successful campaigns, the Phantoms have captured two Calder Cup Championships (1998, 2005), two Conference Championships (1998, 2005), two Regular Season Titles (1996-97, 1997-98) and four Division Championships (1996-97, 1997-98, 1998-99, 2003-04).
