Jun 10th, 2015Press Release from ArtsQuest

BETHLEHEM, PA–Tailwhips, backflips and other high-flying feats will take center stage as the Monster Energy BMX Team performs next to the iconic blast furnaces at SteelStacks July 11.  The team, comprised of five Professional BMX stuntmen and an emcee, will present three free shows on the Air Products Town Square at noon, 2 and 4 p.m.

The Monster Energy BMX demonstrations are made possible thanks to Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley and Monster Energy drinks.  A hit wherever they exhibit, Monster Energy BMX has taken part in demonstrations and competitions around the globe including X Games Austin 2015, Lost in Athens, Baltic Games Indoor Edition, The Night Harvest, Masters of Dirt 2015 and more.

“Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley is excited to be part of the action as the Monster Energy BMX Team prepares to take the stage at SteelStacks,” says Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley Vice President and General Manager Joe Brake. “In true Monster Energy style, it is certain to be a high-octane event that will keep you on the edge of your seat. We’re a proud supporter of this unique arts and cultural campus.”

In between Monster Energy BMX demos, the BMX team will pose for photos and sign autographs, while Bethlehem-based Homebase Skateshop will present an éS Game of SKATE competition.  In addition, Monster Energy drinks will be available for purchase. At the end of the evening, the audience is invited to enjoy a 7:30 p.m. free Levitt Pavilion performance by Black Violin, the critically acclaimed duo that presents a highly danceable blend of classical strings and hip-hop.

“The thrills and excitement associated with Monster Energy BMX exhibitions really resonate with young adults and action sports enthusiasts,” says ArtsQuest Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Partnerships Curt Mosel. “Action-packed events like these not only add to the diverse programming at SteelStacks, they also help attract new audiences to the Lehigh Valley, having a huge impact on tourism. We’re thrilled that our longtime partner Coca-Cola Bottling of the Lehigh Valley selected SteelStacks as one of the stops for its Monster Energy BMX tour this summer – we can’t wait to see some of the amazing stunts and tricks the riders present.”
