Local Kids Win 64-Second Holiday Shopping Spree at The Crayola Store to Benefit Toys for Tots

Nov 23rd, 2015Press Release from Crayola Experience™

EASTON, Pa. – The holidays just got a lot more colorful for three lucky kids.
Easton’s Amelia Tracy, 5, Harrisburg’s Bella Dougherty, 4, and Kingston’s Noah Hammond, 7, won a shopping spree at The Crayola Store at Crayola Experience. The children were randomly selected after guessing how many crayons were in a glass box in the retail store in downtown Easton. There were 1,223 crayons, but – like Crayola’s iconic box – the number to remember is 64. That’s how many seconds each child will have when they run the pre-Black-Friday spree this Tuesday, November 24.
The event also will benefit local children in need this holiday season. On their spree, Amelia, Bella and Noah will be accompanied by uniformed U.S. Marines who will carry all that the kids grab. Whatever the Marines are holding after 64 seconds also will be donated to Toys for Tots.
“Every day we see families making memories here Crayola Experience,” Marketing and Sales Manager Kristin Luise said. “And we’re incredibly happy that through Toys for Tots we’ll be able to make some magical ones happen for kids who really need it this holiday season.”
The families of the children and Crayola’s characters – Tip the Crayon and Pip the Marker – will serve as the cheering section. Easton Mayor Sal Panto also will attend.
