Jun 6th, 2016Press Release from ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks

BETHLEHEM, PA – Children of all ages can relax under the stars while watching some of their favorite animated and family movies during the free 2016 Levitt Pavilion Family Movie Series which takes place most Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m., starting June 8.  Highlighting the 2016 series is a screening of Big Hero 6 June 28 as part of the 1st “Free Community Movie Night,” presented by Community Action Development Corporation of Bethlehem (CADCB) and hosted by ArtsQuest. Other movies being shown at the Levitt this summer include Minions, The Good Dinosaur, Hotel Transylvania 2 and Inside Out.

A partnership between CADCB and ArtsQuest, the Community Movie Night was developed to encourage residents of SouthSide Bethlehem to discover the wide variety of programming available to them at SteelStacks throughout the summer.  As part of CADCB’s Wells Fargo Community Days and Festival in May, people from the South Bethlehem neighborhoods voted for one movie they wanted to see for free, with Big Hero 6 being the overwhelming winner.

“The Community Action Development Corporation thought it would be fun to let the community choose the movie,” said Carolina Martinez, CADCB’s director. “We are thrilled to partner with ArtsQuest to create an event where families and neighbors can share a nice summer night and continue building a unified and strong community.”
