Blue Mountain to Host 2015 Boyscout Mountain Takeover

Palmerton, Pennsylvania (16 October 2015) – Blue Mountain will host the Boys Scouts of America on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 for a Boy Scouts Takeover of the Mountain. Groups from the Minsi Trail Council are invited to experience all that the mountain has to offer in an effort to create a bonding experience that the scouts will enjoy.
Upon their arrival on Friday night, the scouts will set up their tents and get settled in for a night on the mountain, including a campfire gathering. On Saturday, there are several activities lined up, including scenic lift rides, gaga ball, disc golf, and peddle carts.
They’ll also have the opportunity to test their balance, skill, and bravery in our Summit Aerial Park, which includes spectacular views at 1,345 feet. The park is a high ropes course with 37 elements and a total of 385 feet of thrilling zip line adventure.
Blue Mountain Resort works with the Boy Scouts throughout the year and coordinates a variety of events to encourage their members to get outside and have some fun!
