Blue Mountain Resort Still Making Snow and is Fully Open!

Palmerton, Pennsylvania (19 February 2016) – It’s no secret that this winter season has been anything but cooperative for ski resorts on the East Coast. The fluctuation in temperatures and lack of natural snow have hindered perfect and ideal conditions. But these factors have not stopped Blue Mountain Resort from making the most out of the situation! The Resort is taking advantage of every snowmaking opportunity and has every trail, terrain park, and tubing lane open and ready for people to get outside, be adventurous, and have some fun!
According to, many destination resorts on the East Coast are reporting only having between 25%-30% of their trails open while snow bases are averaging around one foot. Many families rely on these resorts for winter trips and getaways but have had to adjust their plans and save money. Blue Mountain Resort is welcoming all snow sport lovers to come visit the mountain, take advantage of their supreme conditions, and get in as many runs before spring arrives! Along with being fully open, there are several specials and events coming up at Blue Mountain Resort for all ages to enjoy. On Monday, February 29th, celebrate Leap Day on the slopes with $29 6-hour lift tickets. On Thursday, March 17th, celebrate St. Patty’s Day with $17 4-hour lift tickets along with drink and food specials at every bar across the mountain. In addition to the holiday ticket specials, Blue Mountain Resort kicked off their Season Pass Rollback event on Wednesday, February 17th. The Resort is traveling back to 2011 and offering the best prices for 2016-2017 season passes. Any season pass purchased at these rates will also be valid for the remainder of the 2015-2016 season. Passes start at $259 and include a variety of benefits such as VIP line access at the lifts, food discounts, retail discounts, and additional lift ticket and rental discounts.
