Blue Mountain Resort Looks to Open Monday with Limited Trails

Palmerton, Pennsylvania (20 December 2015) – Mother Nature has been anything but cooperative this year, but Blue Mountain Resort is ready to get the season started! With lower temperatures this weekend, there was a window of opportunity to blow snow and the Resort took advantage – attempting to create enough snow for a limited opening on Monday, December 21st.

At this time, Blue Mountain is offering limited trails and services on Monday from 10am – 9pm. Four trails and two lifts will be available – Easy Out, Vista, Midway, and Lower Main Street trails; Vista and Main Street lifts. Come Around Park will also be open with 3 features. This gives guests a brief but exciting opportunity to finally hit the slopes for the 2015-2016 season! Please note, with 6”-12” of groomed snow, conditions are thin and some trails will be narrower than usual in some spots. Guests are encouraged to check the Trail Map & Condition Report at for updates and the official trail count on Monday morning.

As a sneak peek to the season, all-day lift tickets for adults and children will be offered for $25 and can be purchased at the Summit Rental Shop.
The following services and departments will be operating: Summit Rental Shop, Guest Services, Slopeside Pub & Grill (11am – 9pm), Summit Café (10am – 9pm), and the True Blue Mountain Sports Store (Summit and Valley from 10am – 8pm). Valley True Blue Sports Store will be open for tuning services, all equipment sales, accessories and apparel.

Ski check, childcare, learning center, and tubing will not be available.

Parking in the Valley will only be available for Guests who are going to the Valley True Blue Sports Shop. There will be no ski and shuttle access from the Valley.
At this time, the limited opening is temporary and highly dependent on the weather, with no guarantee of being open past Monday, December 21st.
