Austin Mahone, Bridgit Mendler—‘teen-tween dream team’ coming to Allentown Fair Fair

Allentown, Pa. – Teen singing sensations Austin Mahone and Bridgit Mendler will co-headline one show at The Great Allentown Fair on Wednesday, August 28.

Tickets to the show are $39 and $25.  They go on sale to the public starting Saturday, March 2.

“We’ve got a ‘teen-tween dream team here!’” fair Talent Buyer Bonnie Brosious asserted. “Both these artists have songs in the “most played” lists of the iPods belonging to an audience that we love to host at the fair, so featuring the two of them on one night doubles the attraction.” she added.

Mahone is the latest teen singer/songwriter to catch fire after posting performances online and releasing his first single, “11:11,” on iTunes.  The video from his follow-up single, “Say Somethin’” shot up Billboard’s Social 50 chart that ranks the most popular artists on YouTube and many of the social media platforms.

His legions of followers refer to themselves as “Mahomies,” and have helped boost his singles onto the radio charts.  Even superstar Taylor Swift took notice to his exploding popularity asking him to be special guest on the initial leg of her upcoming major arena tour.  His newest single, “Say You’re Just a Friend,” has just been released.

Bridgit Mendler has made the most of her starring role on Disney TV’s “Good Luck Charlie,” showcasing her musical talents on the series that has been renewed for a fourth season.  Like her Disney predecessors Hilary Duff and Miley Cyrus, she was picked up by Hollywood Records.

In 2011, the soundtrack from the original Disney Channel movie “Lemonade Mouth” that featured Mendler’s acting and singing produced two singles that hit the Billboard Hot 100, “Somebody” and “Determinate.”

That success propelled Mendler’s first solo album, “Hello My Name Is…,” debuting at No. 30 on The Billboard 200 when it was released last year. Her album’s first single that she co-wrote, “Ready or Not,” became an international Top 40 hit and cracked the top 50 of The Billboard Hot 100.

For the start of ticket sales on March 2, the Austin Mahone / Bridgit Mendler show, advance discount ride and premium parking tickets will be available at the Fair Box Office, online at, over the phone at 800-745-3000 and at Ticketmaster Centers.

Tickets for the previously announced Luke Bryan with special guests Thompson Square and Florida Georgia Line concert on Friday, August 30 and the Toby Keith with special guest Kip Moore are currently on sale. For current tickets on sale, the box office is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.
