Local Businesses Unite to Help Raise Funds for ArtsQuest’s Arts Education Programs for Youth

BETHLEHEM, PA—Bakeries from throughout the region are coming together for a sweet, new special event, The Cupcake Bowl, designed to raise money to support arts education programming for area young people. The event, which is open to the public, will take place Dec. 29, 12:30-2:30 p.m., at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem.  Tickets, which are $20 for ArtsQuest Members and $25 for public, will go on sale Oct. 12, 10 a.m., and be available at and 610-332-3378.

During the Cupcake Bowl, participating bakeries and restaurants will serve up delicious homemade cupcakes while competing for the title of Best Cupcake. Attendees will cast their votes to determine the People’s Choice winner, while a judging panel will decide the winners for Best Frosting, Best Cake, Best Decoration and Best Overall Taste. In addition to sampling all of the delicious cupcakes prepared by the bakeries, guests will be entertained by the music of the Dan DeChellis Trio.

The current list of Cupcake Bowl participants includes Amy’s Sweets & Treats, Antonella’s Bakery, Cathy’s Creative Catering & Café, Cuddles’ Cupcake Bar, Delightful Designs/Sweets Buffets, Granny Schmidt’s Bake Shop, Iron Lakes Country Club, Kym’s Creations Bakery, Rodale Catering & Events and The Flour Shop Bakery. ArtsQuest is also looking for additional bakeries, restaurants and caterers to take part in the event. The cupcake bowl is sponsored by 100.7 WLEV. All proceeds from the event will go to support ArtsQuest’s Arts Education Programming Fund, which provides quality arts and educational programs and experiences for students from throughout the Lehigh Valley.
