6th-Annual Oktoberfest Kicks Off Today, Sept. 30 at SteelStacks
Oktoberfest at SteelStacks returns rain or shine for its exciting sixth year with more family fun than ever! Enjoy two weekends packed with live music and entertainment, plus German inspired food and beer Sept. 30-Oct. 2 and Oct. 7-9.
New activities and attractions include:
The Great Lakes Timber Show – Sept. 30, 7:30-9 p.m., & Oct. 1, 12:30-2 and 3-4:30 p.m. Featuring chainsaw carving, wood chopping, axe throwing, log rolling and more. An additional chainsaw carving demonstration is now scheduled for Oct. 2 at noon.
Freak Out! Oktoberfest – Oct. 1, 7-9 p.m.
Belly dancing, nail-bed walking and fire juggling are just a few of the jaw-dropping performances the Allentown Freak Out Fringe Festival brings to Oktoberfest.
Four Themed Biergarten Tents
The fully sheltered biergareten tents are led by a dynamic selection of beers from D.G. Yuengling & Son at two different locations. Additional themed biergartens include the “Tour of Europe Biergarten,” featuring seven European beers from six countries, and the “Sam Adams & Weyerbacher Craft Biergarten.”

The Brewers’ Village (admission ticket required)
The Oktoberfest Brewers’ Village presented by the Brewers of Pennsylvania is back, with more than 20 different craft breweries serving up everything from German-style Marzens to autumn-inspired pumpkin ales.
Celebrity Skills Challenge – Oct. 1, 12 p.m.
Watch as local celebrities and personalities do battle in this wild competition which includes the famous Brat Toss, stein races, barrel rolling and more.
Oktoberfest Dachshund Races – Oct. 2, 3 p.m.
The annual running of the wiener dogs is back! Watch as the dachshunds face off on an exhilarating 50-foot dash.
