Vulture: The Private Life of an Unloved Bird | Book Signing and Presentation
Katie Fallon will discuss the life and times of the often misunderstood and under appreciated turkey vulture, including their feeding and roosting habits, migratory behaviors, and common misconceptions. This fun and informative program will be followed by a book signing.
Katie Fallon is the author of the books VULTURE: The Private Life of an Unloved Bird (2017) and Cerulean Blues (2011). Her first book for children, LOOK, SEE THE BIRD!, will be published in the summer of 2017. Katie has taught writing at Virginia Tech, West Virginia University, and West Virginia Wesleyan College, and she is one of the founders of the Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia, a nonprofit dedicating to conserving the region’s wild birds though research, education, and rehabilitation. Her first word was “bird.”
