LCCC Holds SEED Program Information Nights

If you are you a student with a disability interested in a college experience, needing additional supports and/or individualized programming to be successful, could benefit from communication skills, socialization, or independent living, and/or would benefit by being connected with a peer mentor, Lehigh Carbon Community College’s new SEED program is available.

Information nights for people interested in the program are scheduled at main campus in Schnecksville, Pa. on the following dates and times:

• Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the Community Services Center, room 203-205
• Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m, in the Rothrock Library, room 120
• Thursday, Jan. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Rothrock Library, room 120

The Success, Engagement, Education, Determination (SEED) program provides comprehensive “direct” services for students with disabilities interested in the college experience to master skills in transition, academic, and/or career areas. Through partnerships with Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living and LCCC Faculty/Staff; mentoring, coaching, work experiences, education, and training are provided to meet adult related goals and maximize employment potential. These are just some of the many opportunities offered through SEED. Programming will begin in July 2017.
