“Gifford Pinchot” Lecture/Book Signing

Gifford Pinchot was the Father of the U.S. Forestry Service, serving as its first Chief. Bibi Gaston’s book, “Gifford Pinchot and the First Foresters: The Untold Story of the Brave Men and Women Who Launched the American Conservation Movement,” shares Pinchot’s legacy of conservation and scientific forestry. The book includes narratives of hardship, fearless struggle, and the challenge of turning confrontations with cattlemen and loggers into cooperation. Free to members; non-members $8 adults, $3 children.
