Exhibit: Bethlehem Back When
To celebrate Bethlehem’s 275th anniversary, Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites brings the past to life through over 8,000 photographs from the Bethlehem Steel photo archive. Led by curator Lindsey Jancay and involving the participation of more than 15 volunteers and donors, the goal of the Bethlehem Back When project is to digitize the collection for the public to view and research the history of Bethlehem.
Over the last four months, our volunteers have digitized the original catalog cards, and recorded the condition of over 800 photographs. Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites aims to present a public, searchable website in 2017.
To introduce the Bethlehem Back When project, Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites will open an exhibition at the Luckenbach Mill, featuring the largest selection of Historic Bethlehem photos displayed at one time.
The exhibition kicks off Community Day 2016 and will run from May 14-November 1, 2016.
