For more than 35 years, the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania has developed a strong base created out of the cooperation within our county lines. As a region, we are leaders in Pennsylvania and have set an example of regional cooperation that is second to none in the state.
Discover Lehigh Valley, formed from the merger of two county-based organizations in 1984 and has been very successful in marketing Lehigh Valley as a leisure and business travel destination. We are more clearly defined now than we have ever been, and we will only continue to grow in stature with the marketing efforts we manage as a region.
With that being said, we feel strongly that we should not be classified as “Philadelphia” on the Cvent (cvent.com) meeting planner website, but rather be known as “Lehigh Valley” when planners are looking to book meetings in our area. Several years ago we were successful in convincing the state to recognize Lehigh Valley as a tourism region of its own, removing it from Philadelphia & Its Countryside, and we can do it again!
Please help us convince Cvent that we should have our own designation by clicking on the “sign petition” button now! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your support.
