Pennsylvania Jazz Collective
The Pennsylvania Jazz Collective is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and presentation of jazz. They produce events in spring, summer and fall as follows: In spring the PA Jazz Collective promotes Lehigh Valley performances throughout April in conjunction with National Jazz Appreciation Month and culminating with their popular PAJAZZ IDOL program. Three distinctly different jazz festivals are presented in the summer. Held on June 12, a jazz and wine festival at Cherry Valley Winery serves as a fundraiser for the Jerry Kozic Memorial Scholarship. This year marks their first Christmas City Summer Jazz Festival which will be held at the Bethlehem Municipal Ice Rink. This festival will feature regional jazz artists of distinction on two stages from 12:00 – 10:00 pm. The summer season ends with an emerging talent showcase festival at the Riverside Park in Easton, Pa.
This year marks our fifth annual November Jazz Series presented at Moravian College. A major part of our mission is about education and this four day series offers students a great opportunity to interact with industry recognized jazz artists. All PAJAZZ events are FREE and open to the public. The Pennsylvania Jazz Collective relies on grants, business sponsorship and public membership.
