The iconic “Tricky Triangle” is NASCAR’s home in Pennsylvania. Twice each summer the excitement of NASCAR roars through the Pocono Mountains. In 2016, NASCAR returns for its 42nd year! This year’s action includes the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 on June 3rd, the Inaugural XFINITY Series 250 on June 4th, and the Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 will be held on June 5th. In July NASCAR comes back to town with the ModSpace 125 on July 29th, the Pocono Mountains 150 on July 30th, and the Pennsylvania 400 on July 31st. Let’s not forget that The Verizon IndyCar Series returns in 2016 with the ABC Supply 500 on August 21st.
For more than four decades, fans from around the world have gathered to watch legends like Petty, Earnhardt, and Allison make their mark. Today, a new generation packs the twin-spired Grandstand to cheer the likes of Dale Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Danica Patrick, and Chase Elliott on as they battle at 200 mph for the coveted checkered-flag. Forty teams and drivers come to Long Pond, but only one leaves soaked with the sweat and champagne that rains down in Victory Lane.
We look forward to seeing you this summer. After all, summer starts and ends at Pocono Raceway!
