Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living (LVCIL)


LVCIL is a nonprofit organization that empowers people with all types of disabilities to achieve independence. Founded in 1990, LVCIL provides the following services for people with disabilities: Advocacy, Peer Support, Independent Living Skills Education, Information and Referral, Housing Search and Support, Services for Veterans, Workplace Readiness Education, Job Coaching, Sign Language Interpreter Services, Youth Transition Support, Supports Coordination through the Adult Autism Waiver and Office of Long-Term Living Waivers, and more.

LVCIL also provides FREE disability education programs and on-site training for businesses of all types seeking to become more disability friendly. FREE accessibility site surveys are provided as well to businesses seeking to improve the physical accessibility of their office or place of business. Site surveys provide low-cost solutions and recommendations to make businesses more welcoming to persons with disabilities. LVCIL has extensive experience in working with large corporations, small- to mid-size businesses, municipalities, townships, and boroughs, parks and recreation groups, art coalitions, private landlords, realtors and property management companies.
