For more than 40 years, Act 1 DeSales University Performing Arts has entertained audiences from September to May with outstanding, critically-acclaimed productions at an exceptional value.

The Main Stage subscription series includes four plays and a musical. The Second Stage, Dance, and Film series includes a musical, two dance concerts, a screendance festival, a children’s show, and a student film festival. Subscribers may purchase tickets to the Second Stage at a discounted price. Discounts are also available for seniors, students, and groups.

From an educational standpoint, Act 1 offers student matinee performances, a dance tour, and a Shakespeare tour as well as summer camps in TV/Film, theatre, and dance.

The Labuda Center for the Performing Arts is home for all Main Stage and Most Second Stage productions. The facility includes the 473 seat Main Stage Theatre and the more intimate 187 seat Schubert Theatre. It is completely handicapped accessible and features an infrared listening enhancement system sponsored by the Dexter F. & Dorothy H. Baker Foundation and Schubert Communications.
